Fundraising Events

As a partner with the Houston Independent School District, FOM must raise funds to pay for the unique Montessori materials required for its schools' classrooms.

Two of the three FOM schools, Garden Oaks and Wilson, each have their own annual fundraiser – Garden Oaks holds a pancake breakfast in February, and Wilson holds a gala and silent auction in March. In addition, FOM applies for foundation grants as needed. FOM is currently applying for grants to fund the addition of a middle school community at Wilson.
